Problem Statement The existing customer dashboard was cluttered, difficult to navigate, and failed to provide a clear overview of the user's account status. This resulted in: • High bounce rates • Low user engagement • Increased support queries Design Goals Simplify the dashboard layout to improve navigation and reduce cognitive load. • Provide a clear and concise overview of the user's account status. • Enhance user engagement by promoting key features and encouraging exploration. • Reduce support queries by providing intuitive and accessibleinformation. User Research To gain a deeper understanding of our users' needs and pain points, we conducted: • User interviews (10 participants) • Usability testing (5 participants) Key findings • Users wanted a simple and easy-to-use dashboard. • Users needed a clear path on how to navigate the courses and modules. • Users were interested in exploring additional features but were unsure where to start. Design Deliverables • Low-Fidelity Sketches •Wireframes (low-fidelity and high-fidelity) • Visual design concepts (2-3 options)
Testing and Iteration We conducted usability testing with 5 participants to validate our design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made iterative design changes to refine the dashboard layout, simplify the account overview section, and enhance the feature elements. Results The redesigned customer dashboard resulted in: • 30% increase in user engagement • 25% reduction in support queries • 90% positive feedback from users on the new design Conclusion The BridgePrep customer dashboard redesign project demonstrates the importance of user-centered design in creating a seamless and engaging user experience. We significantly improved user satisfaction and reduced support queries by simplifying the layout, providing a clear account overview, and promoting key features.
